    Hytop Volunteer Fire Department

The Hytop Volunteer Fire Department maintains a roster of approximately 23 members of volunteer Firefighters and has been providing high-quality services to residents since 1984 when members of the community came together to form the Hytop Volunteer Fire Department.

Through fundraisers and hard work, the members purchased the first fire engine in 1985. In 1986, a fire station was built on land donated by a community member.

As the department grew, another truck was purchased for brush fires and medical calls. In 2010, a Polaris Ranger was purchased to better serve the areas surrounding the Walls of Jericho, where there are many calls each year.

The department expanded into a larger station in the spring of 2014 and was able to purchase an additional truck to be used for car accidents, along with medical calls.

Each year, the department averages 60-70 calls and responds to structure fires, grass and brush fires, car wrecks and car fires, medical calls, and many other types of calls.

For our community to get the best possible service, we must maintain our training, equipment, and facility. Your donations help!
